TGM work towards ISO 14001 certification

As one of the UK’s leading recycling companies, TGM Environmental has an on-going programme to gain ISO 14001 certification, the international Environmental Management System standard that demonstrates companies have the process in place to protect the environment. TGM is already accredited to BS EN ISO 9001:2008 and in line with TGM’s continual improvement, ISO 14001 is the next logical step.

First published as a standard in 1996, ISO 14001 is one of a series of international ISO 14000 standards which specify the requirements for an organisation's environmental management system. It is a voluntary standard and applies to the environmental aspects over which an organisation has control and where it can be expected to have an influence. Certification requires the implementation and maintenance of an environmental management system and for the company to demonstrate and ensure that compliance with environmental laws and regulations are met.

It is anticipated that the process will be completed soon.

TGM’s wholly owned subsidiary, Thoroughshred, is a member of the United Kingdom Security Shredding Association (UKSSA) and works to BS8470 and BS7858.
